アート作品「発音体」は、カスタネットのような簡単な打楽器で、比較的低い音や複数の音を同時に発することができる新しい発音体作品のインスタレーションです。ヘルムホルツ共鳴の原理を用いて音の高さを変えています。
An installation of new sounding body works that can produce relatively low sounds or multiple sounds at the same time with simple percussion instruments such as castanets. The pitch is changed using the principle of Helmholtz resonance.
本アート作品は、複数の発音体から構成されている造形物群をある空間に配置し、かつ発音を体験することができるインスタレーション作品です。個々の発音体は、カスタネット様の造形作品であって、打ち合わせることで音を発音します。カスタネットのように小さく簡単な構造にも関わらず、様々な高さの音を発音したり、同時に複数音を発音したりすることで、これまでにはない新しい“音の場”の表現を体験することができます。発音はヘルムホルツ共鳴の原理を用いているので、発音体の外形を自由に造形することができます。音が鳴る造形物群と発生する音の関係性、空間内での配置、手触り、演奏することと音を聞く体験に気を配って作られている作品です。
This artwork is an installation work in which a group of sculptures consisting of multiple sound generators are placed in a certain space, and the sound can be experienced. Each sonorous object is a castanet-like sculpture, which makes a sound when struck together. Despite their small and simple castanet-like structure, they can produce sounds of various heights and simultaneously produce multiple sounds, allowing visitors to experience a new kind of "sound field" expression never before seen. The sound is produced using the principle of Helmholtz resonance, and the external shape of the sounding object can be freely shaped. The piece was created with careful consideration given to the relationship between the sounding objects and the sound they produce, their placement within the space, their tactile qualities, and the experience of playing and listening to the sound.

複雑な形でもカスタネットのように音が鳴る新しい発音体作品です。木を削って作りました。ヘルムホルツ共鳴の原理を用いているので穴があっても大丈夫です。
This is a new sounding body work that makes a sound like castanets even with complex shapes. It is made of carved wood. Since it uses the principle of Helmholtz resonance, having holes is okay.

3種類の大きさの和音カスタネットでブルースっぽいコード進行ができるかどうかをテストしてみました。
それぞれの音程感に調整の余地はありますが、調整すればいけそうな感じがしませんか？
I tested whether it is possible to create a blues-like chord progression with three different sizes of chord castanets.
There is room for adjustment in the pitch of each, but doesn't it sound like it could be done with some adjustment?

造形作品 「発音体 アナーキ（管楽器のたたずまい）」を新作しました。
穴の開閉で音の高さが変わります。これは打楽器なのか、管楽器なのか？
表に４つ、裏に１つ穴が空いているので、すべてを塞ぐ低音からすべてを開ける高音まで、一つで６つの音が鳴るイメージの造形作品です。
材質は、シュリザクラとギターなどで使われるハワイアンコアです。
New sculptural work "Sounding Body with Soundholes" (Oozing wind instrumental appearance). The opening and closing of the soundholes changes the pitch of the sound. Is this a percussion or wind instrument?There are four holes on the front and one hole on the back, so this modeling work creates the image of six different sounds in one piece, from a low tone that blocks all of them to a high tone that opens all of them. The material are Hokkaido bird cherry and Hawaiian core, which is used for guitars.

和音カスタネットの全く新しいデザインアプローチを思いつきました。
３つの音が鳴るだけでなく、それぞれの共鳴空間に穴をあけることができるので、穴の開閉で音の高さが変わります。
２種類の３和音が一つのカスタネットで実現できる可能性があります！
残念ながら人間の手では演奏が困難です。
I have come up with a completely new design approach for chord castanets.
Not only do they produce three notes, but they also have soundholes drilled in each resonance space, so the height of the sound changes with the opening and closing of the holes. And two types of three chords could potentially be realized with a single castanet!
Unfortunately, they are difficult to play with the human hand.

I didn't learn my lesson and built it even smaller in a four-piece configuration. It is still difficult to play. 5cm diameter, 4 chords x 2.
